Over the centuries it has undergone profound transformations, including a major renovation in 1907 that enlarged the church and introduced distinctive architectural elements, such as the iconic loggia. The restoration, which began in 2005, was conducted in compliance with the directives of the Superintendency, involving specialised craftsmen and restorers. The interior spaces were redesigned to offer bright, airy and functional environments, while preserving the original atmosphere. The careful selection of materials - many of which were recovered - and the care for every detail now contribute to defining an elegant, sober and deeply evocative style.
